Stuart Ratcliffe, Retail Site Acquisition
Stuart Ratcliffe is a Retail Development specialist in Site Acquisition who started in the real estate business over 30 years ago. Upon Graduation from College, Mr. Ratcliffe went into the U.S. Army and graduated as a fixed and rotary wing Pilot. He served a tour in Viet Nam and received various awards and metals. He then worked as a Pilot for Northwest Airlines until furloughs gave him the opportunity to enter the business and real estate community.
His real estate career started with The Southland Corporation (7-11) where he was in charge of over 400 stores in the Washington DC SMSA. His duties included hew site development and permitting as well as the real estate maintenance of the existing store base. He then worked in the same capacity for Signet Bank, The Silver Companies, Hess Oil and Zaremba Development Corporation.
Mr. Ratcliffe has extensive experience in putting deals together as an end user as well as a developer. He has negotiated all varieties of contracts and leases, including office, retail and industrial properties. He has worked from Massachusetts to Florida and as far west as Minnesota and Wisconsin doing development for various users and developers.
Currently, as a member of the Murphy Land and Retail Services, Inc., he represents Murphy Oil Corporation and various developers who are buying and selling land or developing for end users.
