John Cavin, Retail Broker

John Cavin has over 10 years of experience in commercial real estate ranging from the investment sales, leasing, tenant representation to site acquisition and development.  Prior to joining Murphy Land & Retail Services Mr. Cavin worked for Marcus & Millichap, a national real estate investment firm, specializing in the acquisition and disposition of income producing assets.  Before that John worked
for a commercial real estate firm in North Carolina representing development groups and private
equity funds in acquisition of large land tracts in the Coastal Carolina’s for mixed use projects.  Additionally John worked as both a landlord and tenant rep focusing on retail, office and properties throughout the Carolinas

Mr. Cavin also did third party Asset Management for Wachovia Securities Asset and Portfolio Management Division analyzing properties all over the country focusing on retail and office properties as well as raw land development projects, industrial, and single tenant assets.  Some past clients include Bradco Building Supply Inc., BB & T Corporation, Wachovia Securities, Wells Fargo, Prudential, International Paper, American Campus Communities & Regions Bank.

Mr. Cavin graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Real Estate and Finance and has real estate license in Florida and North Carolina.  Mr. Cavin is experienced in tenant representation and investment property acquisition & disposition, as well as land acquisition and entitlement which makes him uniquely qualified to assist clients with a wide range of real estate needs.
